Remarks
Admission is through jee mains and jee advance. First, we have to qualify to jee mains in which we must have 90 and above percentile then we have to qualify to jee advanced in general, we must have 30% marks for top iits and cutoff is around 22 to 25% marks for general and for once it is around 18 to 20% and for sc/st it is 10 % in this exam there is a girls reservation also for girls cutoff is around 15 to 20% marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
MY course is civil engineering I selected this because IIT ROORKEE is the oldest engineering college for this course at this time we are celebrating 175 years, teaching method is too good. All professors are full of knowledge. The exams difficulty level is average.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies visited for an internships, like Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, amazon, uber, and graviton. Most of the companies give stipends of around 1lakhs for one month. Some companies give around 9lakhs for one month.
Placement Experience
Almost every student who sat in placements got placed .many companies visited like Google, Facebook, Hotstar, Ola, Amazon, Flipkart, graviton, uber, zomato, swiggy and many others MNC companies visited, last year highest package was 2.15 crore rupees.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay fees for every semester; for one semester, fees are around 130000. In the college, there is a scholarship for those students whose parent's income is less than 5lakhs for sc/st/PWD, three is no tuition fees, and for those students whose parent's income is less than 1lakhs, there are no tuition fees, and whose parents' income is less than 5lakhs they have to pay 1/3rd of tuition fees.
Campus Life
Our annual fest is Thomas, and this is conducted in October. In college, there is a Central library whose Name is Mahatma Gandhi central library almost every branch books are available, all sports facilities are available there are many clubs in the college, for example, UBA, NSS, NCC, CIVIL CONCLAVE, ROBOCORN, PAG, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Mess food quality is good. in the mess nonveg and veg both food are available for nonveg you have to purchase coupons and sit separately from veg students hostel is also too good there is lan and Wi-Fi in every room.
