Ramjas: An honest review

The admission process was smooth and easy. I applied online and then got admission when I qualified for the cutoff for my desired course in Ramjas. The process of availing reservation was also easy, you just have to provide your certificate and the staff will verify it. The whole process took around 30min or even less.

I chose the course because I had always liked literature and I stopped studying Hindi in my 10th so I chose English Hons in Ramjas. The faculty: student ratio is well maintained. All the professors are well qualified and very knowledgeable in their field. The teaching method is classic classroom teaching. Exams were twice a year, and once a semester. Exams are easy only if you've studied sincerely during the semester

In the 3rd year, students become eligible for sitting in college placement and internship fairs. Many companies visit the college and offer jobs to students. Mainly the companies come for commerce and economics students but some are open for all too. I'm not aware of the highest or lowest placement officer but the average package is around 4.6lpa. I plan on doing master's after the degree.

The fee structure is very affordable. My fee for a year were 12540. It's very nominal when compared to private institutions. The college also provides various scholarships to many students. There are also alumni-established scholarships which benefit economically weak students.

Social life is very good at the college. As the college is on the North campus of Delhi university, the crowd comprises of bright minds who are kind and helpful. The annual fest of the college, Mosaic, is very fun to attend. There's no fixed date for the fest. Various artists including some famous and some underdog artists are invited to perform. Books and journals are readily available in the library. Classrooms have basic amenities but some classrooms have projectors and are air-conditioned too. Sports and extracurricular activities are in abundance and they're going on all around the year. There are many groups and clubs in the college run by students. Art club, drama club, music club and many more.
