Remarks
Jee advanced should be cleared and the ranks needed can be checked from the previous year's opening and closing rank list from jee adv official website. The form is available at the site of NTA. Application fees may differ every year so should be checked through NTA's official website. Seats are reserved for, st,obc, and female applicants. The entrance exam should be branch specific as most of the students get the branch according to their jee marks and not according to their interest. Also, students should be given counseling sessions so that they get to know more about different branches.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course due to my interest in chemistry. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:12. The faculty is highly qualified and most of them have done post-graduation and Ph.D. from reputed institutions. Passing exams is relatively easy. Exams are conducted twice every semester.
Internships Opportunities
Almost all multinational companies visit our campus offering multiple roles like software development, data analysis, business development, product manager, and some core profiles too. You need to prepare for and do some projects related to the profile you want to apply for.
Placement Experience
In 2nd last semester, students become eligible for placements. Many companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, de Shaw, codenation, media.jet visit the campus during placements. More than 70 percent of students get their desired jobs. I plan to become a software engineer after finishing my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is pretty high but not as high as private engineering colleges. The institute has a program of tuition fee waiver so the full fee is waived if the annual income of the student's family is less than 1 lakh. 2 third of the tuition fee is waived if annual income is less than 5 lakh. Full tuition fee waiver of 1 lakh per semester as my family income is less than 1 lakh.
Campus Life
There are many clubs and groups run by students. Some of them are MDG(mobile development group), SDS(software development section), a Music section, a choreography and dance section, Aries (artificial intelligence group), and a robotics section. There is a library inside the campus.
Hostel Facilities
High-speed internet is available through lan in every hostel room. Meal quality is also fine and special dinner is provided on special occasions. Students need not register separately for a hostel. They registered automatically during the admission process.
