The clarity between different branches of all Indian colleges should be more visible in terms of academic, and job opportunities on the internet. A more impartial opinion should be given to students while the admission process to college choosing.
Course Curriculum Overview
The term exam was timely. Though it get delayed during the corona the college managed to come to a normal semester timeline with its pace and covered the whole 2-year syllabus in 1.5 years. It is not that difficult to pass the exam If the student has studied during the semester
Internships Opportunities
A large number of companies visit campus for internships as well. Around 400 offers are made and the maximum stipend is 4.5 lac/month whereas the average is around 90000/month. Different projects are offered by the institute which helps in resume and skill building
Placement Experience
The placement of my college is improving year by year. Last year in 2021, about 100% of the students were placed. Students in their 7th semester sit for placement whereas students in the 5th semester sit for internship. A large number of companies visit and in internship about 400 offers and in placement about 1000 offers are made. The highest package during placement was 215lpa and the average was 22lpa. I have got an internship in Microsoft and will be sitting for placement and working in MNC after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee Structure consists of 1 lac per semester tution fees and rests hostel and other extra fees. There are several scholarships offered on the basis of family income, grades secured and performance of the students during the course of their study. Regarding the campus jobs, there was about 100% placement in 2021 and good companies for all profiles come to the campus (mainly software).
Campus Life
Thomso the annual fest is one of the best cultural fests held during October. The books are always available in the library, be it academic books or novels with fiction, thriller etc. The classroom is clean and well aur conditioned which does not cause problems for students. All types of sports are played including indoor or outdoor Games. If you roam the campus during the evening, it will be the best athletic view for you. All the groups are mainly run by students, including the cultural group like choreography and dance section, a music section, dramatic or the official website of IIT Roorkee is also handled by student club i.e., image.
Hostel Facilities
All the rooms have bed, study table, tea table, chairs and cupboard with a good network of LAN which provides the easiest experience for the students to study and explore. Though the meal quality is bit not good. But it is affordable and good to live. Though there are less chances of rented pg nearby because the whole college is Based inside the boundary and outside it is the roorkee city where the pg system is not that much in use.
