Remarks
The eligibility of the course is that the candidate would have completed their Senior Secondary exams ( class 12th ). The application forms can be found on the university's official website www.imu.ac.in. Reservations are available for OBC EWS SC ST NCC and Physically Handicapped Students. The admission process is well organized and does not need any improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to join the Merchant navy as it is a very progressive field with a very good Pay scale and Worldtour opportunities I chose the BTECH MARINE ENGINEERING course as it is a very professional course that also covers mechanical engineering concepts. The course is for 4 years. The Student and teacher ratio is 1:37. The Faculty is well qualified and the discipline in the college is of high standards. Exams are conducted 2 internal and 1 Final Sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the college is Governmental and comes under a Central University, The college fees are fixed at Rupees 225000 per year which is very nominal fees to do the Marine Engineering course. The Fees includes all the expenses including the hostel, mess, tuition fees, books, and uniform for the cadets. Several types of scholarships are also available for the cadets as per the eligibility criteria depending on Home State
Campus Life
The College Conducts an annual fest which is called TEMPEST every year which is very big and a lot of activities and fun can be seen there. The college has a newly built library with almost every book available that you can need for academics. the classrooms are smart classes. Sports are also given very high preference for the development of stamina and skills.
