Remarks
Firstly about eligibility criteria, students must have mathematics in 12th class. Admissions were on the basis of 12th marks. I have five subjects in 12th namely Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Four Subjects Were counted for cut off Physics, Chemistry Mathematics and Hindi and English, in which we had high marks in 12th. The complete application process was online due to the corona pandemic. I just have to apply online on the university website and during admission apply to the college/course whose criteria were fulfilled. I got admission in the 4th cutoff with a Reservation in the EWS category. The process was very smooth, I can talk to the nodal officers and I did multiple times The fee was 18650 INR. Definitely online admission is very smooth than offline so the overall admission process was very very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was very much interested in Mathematics in school that's why I choose mathematics. The mathematics faculty is good in college. The boy's and girls' ratio is nearly 3 to 1. The faculty is good and talking about teaching methods, teaching is on the blackboard, only during computer lab projector used. The teaching experience was not very good in online mode, poor internet connectivity in my village is also a factor in this. Google meet and MS teams were used during online classes. Exams conducted every semester are not much difficult if basic concepts are known. Not very difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
During placement Companies, Axxla, ZS associates, Nomura, Wilson tower Watson, AON consulting, Delliote etc visit the college. Most of the roles are in finance. Internships, we can find internships in almost every role and every field. Some internships are not paid. But most of them are paid. Sometimes stipend is on the basis of performance and most of the time can go upto 10k per month.
Placement Experience
3rd-year students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like DE Shaw, Nomura, Axxla, Delliote, ZS associate and many others visit the college. Most of the students I saw are preparing for Civil services in college. I want to get placed on campus and later want to do an MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Every year fees are nearly 18650. I haven't seen a fee hike till now so I can't tell you anything about this. I didn't get a scholarship from the college. But there are many scholarships available (Not of much value ). But some of my friends got completed fee relaxation due to poor financial conditions or the impact due to the covid pandemic. In terms of job opportunities, I think Hindu College is one of the best colleges in Delhi. There are many on-campus internships available. The stipend is upto 10000 per month.
Campus Life
Alfa is the annual fest organised in college. There are many events we can see almost every day in different societies and departments Library is good. Books on all subjects are available. I have to reissue it after 14 days. In starting due to covid sports activities are not fully functioning but now slowly starting. Good ground for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball etc. In the classroom, AC is not available but available in labs and almost every other department. More than 30 Societies are there in college.
