Exhilirating!!

The college management is not good enough and they don't work too diligently.

I got the admission via JEE MAINS 2015.My rank was 16k. The college provides great facility and faculty and opting CSE in NIT Patna was lucrative.

The course curriculum in NIT Patna if not excellent,then it is good enough.You will be provided all the facilities in the college be it library or Computer Centre. You can also access the pdfs online. The course is same for all branches in first year but the core study starts from the second year.

Though not earlier,but companies have started coming to NIT Patna for internship.The list includes companies like UHG,Amazon for the year 2017.The stipend offered was around 35k.

The placements and job opportunities is very good especially for branch like CSE and IT.Companies like Amazon,UHG,SAP,Samsung and other tech giants come to the college and so does Infosys,Wipro,TCS,IBM,etc. The average placement for CSE and IT is 6lpa.

The fest is the only time of the year when you will completely enjoy your college life else the days are boring.'The Techno Cultural fest' in January is okay but you shouldn't have high hopes for that. Apart from cultural fest,Radio Mirchi comes to college around August-September and other small scale events are organised on occassions.

The fee structure is different for different student.With the recent hike in fees,the fee structure now totals Rs 1.25 lakhs as tuition fee.The mentioned fee is for those who have annual income more than Rs6lpa and belong to general category.The fee structure is too minimal for SC/ST students.

Scholarships are also provided in the college and you have even greater opportunities if you do not belong to general category.

Campus life in NIT Patna is okay.The campus is not too big but it houses all the necessities of a good college.The gender ratio here is around 6:1 in CSE and IT and lower in other branches. The extracurricular events are organised on a regular basis.Events like gully cricket tournament,debates are often organised. Inter NITs events are also organised every year.

The hostel facility is good.There are seperate hostels for boys and girls.All girl students are provided hostel facility.In boys,those who hail from Bihar ,UP ,Jharkhand are not given hostels in first year. The hostels are fully equipped with Wi-Fi and soon LAN.When it comes to hostel infrastructure,it is good. The mess food is okay,but you will miss your home just after a week of joing the hostel.

The alumni network is good.With seniors being placed in good companies,you get a good alumni network from the college.Our CM is also an alumni of our college.

Assignments come as a part and parcel with our course.You have to do them.When it comes to lab work,it depends on what lab you are doing.Labs like UNIX Shell ,EE do not require much effort,but DS,Workshop do.If you don't procastinate things in college,the college work will be done in a whiff.

The admission in NIT Patna can be taken only after qualifying JEE MAINS.The counselling is taken care of by CSAB though in year 2015,it was JoSAA who was handling it. You have to meet certain criteria for taking admission in colleges of national importance.Your rank should be good enough if you are in general category.

The faculties have pursued their PhD from either IITs or foreign universities.When it comes to faculty,some are really great while some are not which is a general scenario in every other college. A good faculty will infuse his zeal and enthusiasm in you so much so that you will love his subject.Yes,we do have faculties like them in our college.But flipping the other side of the coin,attending some lectures are a complete waste of time.
