Remarks
The entrance exam for AIT is JEE Mains and you need to have your parent to be serving in the Indian Army or retired from the Indian Army. The application form would be available on the website of AIT, Pune. The application would be around 500-1000 and it would be available during JEE counselling after the declaration of JEE advanced result. There are reservations for the War widow children and students having father/mother honouring medals or service titles awarded from the Indian Army/Government. The admission process is pretty easy and simple. They can reduce the number of documents required from the students as they ask for too many Army-related documents and it is difficult to immediately get them from the Army. They can keep only one document which would help the students to save time and make the process more easygoing.
Course Curriculum Overview
Information Technology has a good placement ratio compared to other branches so I choose the IT branch. The faculty-to-student ratio is good as each subject has there own teacher. In my department, there are 10 teachers to teach us over the year 180 students, 60 in each year. the department for the first year is different they have their own faculty and is the same as the IT department. The teachers are good and are ready to help the students at any given time. The exams happen every two months once as In sem and Sem exam take place at each Sem. From the Second year, you would have practical exams for the subjects having practicals. The difficulty is moderate if you have studied what is required from you then it is easy to pass but you need to work hard to score high as it is not that easy to score high.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunity for the students is fewer as only around 30 students get internship from the campus. The companies coming to campus offering internships are DB, BNY, Cohesity, Credit Suisse etc.
Placement Experience
AIT has a good record in regard to placements. The placement for every branch is very good and there are many industries for the students to apply to on campus. The internship opportunity is given to the students in the third year. It has over 40 industries coming on campus majorly CRED, DB, BNY etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The hike in fees is about 10% every year. There are various scholarship present to the students and there is a good number of companies that come to campus to hire the students. The scholarship is based on merit and retired personnel from the Army have many opportunities to get the scholarship.
Campus Life
The campus has various events for the students. There are over 15 clubs at AIT. All the clubs have their own reputation and events in which the students participate in. The students can play any sport whether it is indoor/ outdoor and infrastructure to play them. There are three annual fests conducted by the College under the management of students who have guidance from the teachers which are SOlutions(Tech fest), Pace(Sports Fest) and Amytyst(Cultural Fest).
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good at AIT and have the required facility for the students to use. The food quality is good and students are provided Canteen on campus. It has its own gym, fruit shop, bookstore, and food court. It has also provided the night canteen for the students till 2 pm to buy night time snacks.
