My life in GEHU (Dehradun)

Admission didn't require any entrance exam. Application form can be found at the reception inside the campus. The application fees from what I know is free of any cost. I didn't avail any reservations. Honestly, the addmission process is really good considering the polite and professional behaviour of the reception.

I chose this course because I've always wanted to do something in the field of computer like everyone else who chose this course. Everything about computer has always fascinated me from my childhood to the adulthood. From my experience the required faculty is provided according to the timetable. If a teacher is absent then a substitute teacher is provided. I don't know about the qualifications of the teachers as I never asked them but they teach really nice with good example and my CS teacher had used projector to teach is in the 1st semester which was really nice. When a semester begins, mid sem exam occur after 3 months and end sem exam happen 3 months after the mid sem examination. The questions are of moderate difficulty but it can be difficult the pass sometimes especially in pratical exams.

I haven't experienced any significant hike in the regular fee amount. Cost of study is reasonable but I think they're mainly charging us for the infrastructure and the college's name. Fee structure is reasonable but it can be quite expensive for few people. I belong to a middle class family and sometimes it can be difficult to manage everything even though I haven't opted for hostels. Including the hostel fee, it becomes too much for a middle class family. I can't say much about the financial assistance as I never asked them for it. I never applied for any job as well

Graphest is the biggest annual event that happens in our campus. In this event very popular celebrities such as armaan malik, major lazor, arjeet Singh come to the stage each year to perform. One shouldn't be missing this event. There are other events such as world environment day event. Summer time event, freshers party etc. The library mostly contains books with study materials but there are some journals as well. Coming to the amenities, the wahsrooms are cleaned daily, the classrooms have large windows for ventilation and light. The noise levels in class in not too much to cause any interference in studies. There are university buses for transportation. Water filters for drinking purpose, underground parking, etc. There are basketball and volleyball court. A big ground for football and table tennis in basement. Bhagda club, photography club, animation clubs, etc are run by students.

There were no group discussion, interview or written test for the addmission. The addmission policy as far as I know haven't changed and you can get enrolled by just paying the admission fee. But I still wish there were GD.
