Gehu dehradun college overall review

Hey, I am a first-year student at gehu Dehradun. so it is my honest review. I will talk about some points so here I go 1. Placements: a variety of companies visits our campus as I interacted with a senior he told me the majority of them are service-based and very few are product based .amazon also visits our campus. Most of the students take higher placement from off-campus. but colleges do provide placements. Faculties: it depends on the section u r allowed overall faculties are supportive and they force you to ask doubts that's a good thing. College life: As it is Dehradun there are a lot of places to visit and different types of events are going on at intervals of time so you won't feel alone. You will meet some of the most supportive friends but again depends .mostly people here are supportive and are ready to help.

I chose cs as gives good placement The faculties are quite good .girls: boys ratio is like 5:1 Most of them have done a Ph.D. in their respective subject but some have just done MTech from deemed so it depends on your section. again in college most of the time you will learn by yourself so don't worry.

The internship is provided by companies like amazon Wipro TCS and various others but most of the student crack off-campus internships hence I don't know much about them. DSA and project are necessary for getting a good internship in at least a product-based company

From 7th sem you can apply for placements and from third year companies come for intership opportunities Around 1997 offers were made from companies like amazon,tcs,Wipro, cognizant,samsung(off),Walmart(off) Highest offer is 44.14 lpa amazon Around more than 80% students gets placed. I want to get a good placement .

Fees are expensive I guess as I scored well in 12. I got fee relaxation but still, it is a private college so what do you expect. As Uttrakhand resident i got 25% relaxation As I scored 92% in 12 I got 42000 per sem relaxation As my father is in the army I got 5% relaxation

Gravest is the main fest rest there are various events organized here. The library is pretty small and I had to wait for 2 hours to get my books for 1 sem in the Library Projectors and fans are there .ac's in some classrooms but we study through the blackboard and I like old school methods. labs are pretty bad as the computer there can't even compile a c program There are various Bangura,dance , songs whichever you think u have an interest

Facilities are pretty normal 3 beds 3 tables and chair three wardrobe and attached bathroom, balcony for a three seater The food is pretty good and 4 times a day At the time of admission you can register for the hostel later I don't know but there are various uments and things which u have to do and u will feel pretty tired after all that
