Remarks
The course I took is BA Program Geography, the course is one of the best offered by Miranda House. Many future opportunities for those interested in Geography open up. The application form is available on the DU website during the admission season. There is a reservation for all categories. I think I liked the admission process during covid times because we didn't have to travel to do anything extra, but I would like it if they removed the rule that if one doesn't apply for a course that matches their merit in the first list, they can't apply in the next lists. Campus life is amazing, societies are bustling and professors are nice.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I am interested in Geography and would like to study it further. The college has enough faculty but might lack in some courses, so look out for that. The professors are good and they take criticisms of their methods well, but some might be a little overbearing. They are all MAs and Ph.D.s. The exams have been somewhat late until now because of timeline shifts due to covid, it is difficult but you can pass if you study well enough.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is very affordable in my opinion. The college provides financial assistance, it is called a 'financial support scheme', and there are other programs too for different communities. I'm still in the second year but there are many internship opportunities always rolling in with stipends up to 30k.
Campus Life
There are many fests, Tempest is the college's annual fest and other than that different societies and departments have their fests which are very lively and well organized. Most books needed for the course are available and many novels too, the library is 2 stories and huge in the area. Classrooms have basic amenities, we choose the classroom according to the topic of discussion in class that day, and we have projectors, acs, huge halls, etc. There is a big ground on campus and a very beautiful basketball court for students to use.
