Remarks

At the time of my admission, there was no special entrance exam for Delhi University. Now there is a special entrance exam for Delhi University (DUET). A lot of colleges are Under DU. If you score good marks you will get a good call. It's based on your score and course.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose BA Prog because of UPSC. Not only I in my class majority choose BA Prog because of UPSC. The faculty of our college are highly qualified most of them are Ph.D. holders. My college provides the finest teachers (Sociology). Passing BA Prog is very easy but the scoring top is different.

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 14500 per year

Internships Opportunities

College Provides a lot of internships mainly some internship active Societies in our college will inform everything on time. Recently Delhi University Provides a Vice-chancellor internship for every student.

Placement Experience

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi University is a government-funded college. So the fee of the College is very low but the accommodation charges in Delhi are very high when compared to other Universities or Colleges. College Provides some Scholarships also.

Campus Life

Sri Venkateswara College is the Perfect example of Unity in Diversity because the students in the college are not only from India foreign students are also studying in the college. College provides a ragging-free environment which is very helpful to new students. The college has the best library on the South Campus of Delhi University.

Hostel Facilities

Sri Venkateswara College provides Hostel facilities for Top Students. Students who got good marks in the previous semester are only eligible for a hostel. If you are a topper from a certain course you will be eligible for a hostel. Otherwise, they don't consider you. There are only 72 seats (3 years) for boys and 72 seats(3 years) for girls. The hostel fee is Rs 9100 per month including food etc...

Hostel Fee: INR 104000 per year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
