RIT - From a student's perspective

The admission is done through the management quota. The admission can also be done through jee mains counseling conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University. For admission through counseling, you must have the jee rank under 4Lakh.

There are 5 subjects which we have to study in a semester. The teachers are not permanent and some of them can't teach us properly. Plus there are only 3 to 4 teachers with Ph.D. qualifications. The other departments such as the Mechanical and Electronics faculties are way better than ours.

The placements here start from the 7th semester. The highest package this year is 10 LPA and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Nearly 90% of students get placed on campus. Some good companies have started to visit our campus for placement purposes.

The fee structure in the first year is 112000 Rs. The fee structure in the second, third, and fourth years is 107000. This fee includes Exam fees, Library fees, uniform fees, etc. The scholarship is given based on 12th and JEE mains scores.

The annual fest here is named "Anugoonj" which happens every year, but due to Covid, it has been postponed for the last 2-3 years. Hopefully, it'll happen this year. The tech fest here is called "The Technomax" which also happens every year on various topics. The books in the library are limited as the library is not that big but still, some books can help.

The hostel here is pretty average providing you with a 2 or 3-seater room which a student can choose according to his/her will. There are also AC rooms available for students who want to take that. The hostel has 3 floors containing the 1st year students on the ground and 1st floor and the rest of the students on the 2nd and 3rd floor.
