Course Curriculum Overview

3

I have chosen this course because I am very interested in content writing and this course will help me in building my career as a content writer. There are only 40 seats in this course. The faculty of the course is good. All the teachers have a doctorate degree in their fields. Method of the teaching is also good. As this course required practical. work. This course also has practical work but comparatively less practical work than other universities. Exams are of moderate level. Not too tough or not too easy. The exam is semester-wise. There are a total of 6 semesters in this course.

Internships Opportunities

2

There are no internships with a stipend which I have done during my course. But I have done an internship in NDTV for Bihar election coverage. As my course is during the lockdown period internships is almost closed in every company.

Placement Experience

3

In my course campus placement is very but you are eligible to apply yourself. There is only one student which is selected in my batch for college placement. I am planning to pursue a master's in m.a social work.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very less in comparison to other colleges or universities. 7200 per year only which means 21600 for a complete 3 year course. 7200 rupees fees for the such professional course is really very less. Students from any type of background can easily pay or her fees. There are several scholarships which the universities offer. Jamia alumni scholarship Jamia teachers scholarship. There are some national scholarships also like the MoMA scholarship or the maulana Abul kalam Azad scholarship. There are also some special scholarships only for media students like jamate Islamia hind scholarship.

Campus Life

5

There is a big sports complex in gate 4 where you can play cricket, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, and other sports. There is a central library [Zakir Husain library] at gate 7 where you can find books in many languages related to your subjects. There is also a small library in most of the departments. You can read magazines and newspapers there. There are so many activities on campus in which you can participate. There is a very grand foundation day celebrated every year on 29th October and convocation day also. Apart from these, there are so many other functions organized by different departments. This year there is a very interesting mela from the Unani department. You can also join different clubs like Dance club Singing club Drama club Debating society.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
