Remarks
Eligibility of the course Should have passed the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board. The candidates should have passed 12th or equivalent in 2021, and 2022, or appearing in 2023 can appear in JEE(mains) 2023. Application forms for the JEE (MAINS) can be availed at jeemain.nta.nic.in during, the month of January.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the ECE because it was the only best thing I was getting at my rank. The course curriculum is very student-friendly. The professors are quit good and helpful too, most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders and 6 of them are in the list of top 2% of scientists of the world.
Placement Experience
Placements of the NIT Patna is rising exponentially over the last 3 years and it is supposed to keep rising. In the year 2020-21, Avg Package was 13.97 lakhs per annum with the highest package of 1.6cr. This year more than 70% of students have been placed and placement session has just started, with an average package of 16.5 lakhs which is supposed to increase further. More than 150 companies visit the campus including Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Atlassian, Cred, and Texas Instruments. In 2020-21, 100% of students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Like any other NITs, here too fees are charged based on the family income. If your family income is below 1 lakh then you will be eligible for a 100% scholarship in tuition fees whereas if your family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakhs then you will be eligible for 60% scholarship on tuition fees.
Campus Life
Being present on the Ganga riverside and middle of the city, the campus area is quite small. It is spread over 45 acres therefore sometimes you may feel that the infrastructure is not up to the mark but the institute has done every affords to utilize the maximum available area. Multiple fests and events are organized regularly, Corona and Melange are the techno & cultural fest of the institute respectively, It is organized in the second week of January. There are multiple clubs run by students like Hackslash, Natwansh, Saptak, GDSC, etc. The library has almost all the books & journals.
