You will find the best faculties on this campus who themselves are former chief engineers and captains Teaching is good this college will bring best in You Exams are a little bit difficult to pass as you undergo physical training also but this is the demand of this field and if you can do this you will have a very successful career in this field

Tempest is organized every year and it is one of the biggest marine fests in Asia Sports are most important in this college and every Cadet participates in one or other sport The library is available you will find all the books you require Also, many clubs are there you will develop many skills

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is a must and the food is good and the menu can be changed if you want There is no question of pg or rented room as it is compulsory for hostel You are provided with a personal cupboard for clothes table and chair for studying and a bookshelf and also a balcony for drying clothes

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
