I have given WBJEE exam where I have secured rank 18808.I was interested in civil engineering & this college was mainly famous for its civil branch, that's why I am here.

Well I was quite interested in Civil Engineering so I found the environment interesting. In every college there are some teachers which are good and some which are not so good. I personally found the environment balanced in each and every branch of the college.The college arranges training for its students so that they can have an external touch of the real world.

Pesonally I don't have any idea about it,but I have heard from some seniors that there are some internship plans.

For IT sectors the job opportunity are very good as TCS,Capgemini etc,visits our campus and offers an annual package of 3.3-3.5 lakhs,but when it comes to core sector it is poor. Few students got placed in companies like simplex,ultratech etc with an average annual package of 3.2-3.5 lakhs.

One of the college events are Tech-Xtra which is only for college students.There are different types of game present in this technical fest.Winner gets the award and Certificate too.Another is Paridhi Which is very much similar to Tech-Xtra but in this event students from other colleges are also invited.Some of the technical clubs are.1)Rotaract Club Of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology.This club deals with the needs of poor erson present in the city and also takes parts in many activities like swach Bharat Abhiyan and other campaigns.2)YUVA-This club arranges intercollege sports and fests.3)Megatronix-This club arranges the events on robotix and many more.2)YUVA-This club arranges intercollege sports and fests. 3)Megatronix-This club arranges the events on robotix and many more.

The fee structure is normal.For B.Tech students 1st sem-70,000(approx) 2nd sem-56,000(approx) 3rd sem-39,0004th sem-39,000 6th sem-40,000 7th semester -41,000 8th semester -41,000 As on 2015 Fee structure is somehow different for new admission which is quite few thousands higher than earlier ones.

I don't have basic idea about it but loans are available for poor students.College provide them the certificate to apply for loans in the banks where they can easily get study loans.About scholarship,I have no idea as I had entered the college through general category and had not heard about it.

Boy to girl ratio is about 70:30. Well party is there whenever you finishes your work in any club.Workshops are there for each and every branch. Students belonging to west Bengal have some problems with the students belonging to other states.Their is no castism Ragging is no more present here.

College doesn't owe any hostel. It has just collaborated with the nearby hostels. The nearby hostels are Ok. You can get rooms on sharing, ersonal as you want. Electricity is there for maximum hours Hostel room is provided with beds,table and chairs.Generally each room contains at about 2-3 students in it.

Some are helpful and some are not. They generally tell us that focus on the practicals and gain as much as you can,as practicals are very important for core sector and it sector too.

Yes the labs are very frequent but it is somehow interesting as you always come to know something interesting all the time.So sometimes chilled and sometimes hectic. Labs like survey are generally done outside which you will personally found very easy and interesting. Teachers interact and make you learn very well. Students perform their labs by themselves so that they have a basic idea about the subject.

When the ranks were declared, counselling dates were provided where you have to fill your choices like which college you are interested and what branch you are interested to take.Once your choices are locked,it will go on through different phases.A total of three rounds are there for result which will show that whether your selected college are a lot to you or not. Your rank will decide whether you can get good college or not Once you get your list in any of the rounds then you have to come to any of the provided centres to submit your confirmation that you really want admission or want to wait for further upgradation (if you are selected in first two rounds). You have to submit a DD of 20,000(In 2015). Once you fix the college in counselling round then they will tell you to contact your college authority about the admission dates. Once the dates are provided then go to your college and resume the further process of admission. Some faculties are too good and some are not. Well I think it mainly depends on the student and their way of learning.Teachers are very well qualified and they know how to teach and make the class more friendly. Some faculties have great experience such that they relate the theory to practical which I found very easy to understand.
