Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in mechanical engineering, and with the rank I got I opted for production. The faculty-student ratio is actually quite good and all of them are well-qualified. Exams are conducted periodically with medium to hard levels of difficulty

From the 6th or 7th semester, students can sit for placements. Many good companies including core visit the college with good offers. Highest and average packages are 48 and 10 lakhs per annum. Almost 95 percent of students are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees are actually very low compared to many other colleges in India. Many scholarships are available for EWS and SC and ST candidates. Many internships with good stipends are easily gettable

Annual fest Ragam and technical fest thatva are conducted every year mostly in February and September respectively. Almost all good books are available in the library, while the classrooms are not air-conditioned. Many Sports extracurricular activities and clubs are available

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
