Remarks

I took the admission in the year 2020. The admission process was based on merit-based and it was so smooth. The eligibility of the course was just clearing the cutoff of the preferred college. The application form was available on the Du portal at du.ac.in. The form was open for like 1 month. I got the admission through OBC category. The OBC category ones got admission on a bit lower cutoff than the general ones.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculty members are so good they are so helpful and give us free guidance and support whenever we need it. I have chosen this course as I want to pursue my future in the literature field and from childhood, I have dreamed of pursuing my higher studies in this course. There is like 1 teacher available for 6 to 7 members of my class. Regular counseling sessions are also available where you can solve any of your queries with the appointed teacher and the query will be any kind like your personal life etc. There is a TIC in every department who is considered the head of the department and many experienced teachers as well. Mostly all the teachers have done their Ph.D. as well, I must say they are highly qualified and knows very well how to teach and understand students very well. The examination was taken every semester once at the end of that semester while other than that regular assignments and internal tests are taken to improve our skills. And it's not so difficult to pass

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to pay around 18 thousand for every semester and we have to pay for another examination form free that includes around Rs.600. which once will pay before the examination of every semester. At the end of the final year, some students get placement in companies like Mother dairy, and the avg. Salary of that companies were 3 to 4 lakhs per annum.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is overall good. But there is not so much availability of sports equipment as the playground is not so large that anyone plays there smoothly but overall it's good. There are many societies available for the betterment of the students' extracurricular skills. And the annual fest of our college is Kalrav which is soo good. The books and journals are mostly available in the library and easy to take them from Library only if you have a library card with you. There are many social groups like NSS, helping Hut, and EOC run by students for the betterment of society and it's easy to join them. My overall experience is good in my college.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
