IIITG : A good institute with better placements and opportunities.

the entrance to the college is through JEE Mains Examination. The application details of the form and dates are available on NTA website. After clearing the main examination, one has to apply for josaa counseling and have to fill out the colleges of his/her choice according to priority. In each round merit list is announced and if you fall in the criteria, u get a seat. However, u have the option to float, lock and release your seat.

Electronics and Communication Engineering is a major course and is always in demand. There is vast research happening on many subdomains of the subject. It has also the perks of being specially recognized for various government examinations like IES, DRDO & ISRO. The institute has a good faculty/student ratio of 1:6. Most of the professors are actively doing research and motivating students to do good in core fields. Every faculty is postgraduate from renowned institutions such as IIT Patna, IIT Guwahati, etc. The course is designed to have separate classes for tutorials and theory. It is compact and up to date with industry standards. The exams are mostly divided into 2-3 quizzes per subject along with mid sem and End sem. the paper usually comes with a medium to hard difficulty. Relative marking is applied to every subject.

Various roles such as data analyst and software developer I and software developer II are offered by the companies. some of the companies that offer placements are amazon, Microsoft, tekion, byju's, gameskraft, toppr, Samsung research, etc. one has to generally pass the cpi criteria with no active backlogs to sit for placements.

One is eligible to sit for placements from the seventh semester. the placement season is year-long and ends in august. Companies like amazon, tekion, ZS, Deloitte, Gameskraft, and many more come for on-campus placements. for the year 2020, the highest year offered was 66 lac and the average package was around 15 lacs. generally, the placement record is 100%.

The academic fee is generally hiked 12500 per year, apart from this, no fee hike is done. There is no scholarship via college for the students. However, one can avail of state-sponsored and national-sponsored scholarships for the funding of their studies.

Yuvaan and techno fest are the respective cultural and technical fest of the Institute. generally, techno fest is conducted during January while yuvaan is conducted during the march. the books and journals are always available at the library. one has the option to avail and issue books during office hours. The classrooms are equipped with blackboards, projectors, and white screens. all the classrooms are fully ac ventilated. Currently, many sports facilities such as sports complexes, and grounds such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, field, and track are under construction. there are many technical cultural clubs along with welfare clubs such as the portraiture-photography club.

Most of the rooms in the college are double deck beds with attached washrooms. there are two almirahs and tow desk chairs given in the room. mess quality is good, mess menu is diversified with south and north cuisines. The hostel is provided to each and every student, though a student has the option to avail of it or not.
