Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because my rank in JEE mains decides this and also the placements are very nice in CSE and ECE. There are approximately 80 students in a class which is a decent count. Coming to faculty to student ratio, it may be around 1:10. Faculties are very student friendly and experienced. They all graduated with their PHD from prestigious institutes in India like IITs. You may interact with faculty as well as with Ph.D. scholars in labs for any queries related to your subject. There are mainly two exams per semester: one mid-semester exam and end semester exam. In between, there are some class tests and assignments provided.
Internships Opportunities
Students can start their internships in the 3rd year itself. A lot of dream companies provide internship programs on campus. companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, and so on provide internship opportunities to students with a decent stipend. Students have to be strong in their core to get internship opportunities
Placement Experience
The placements are very nice over the past two years. College provides good placements to students from their 3rd year. From the 6th semester, students can apply for placements and internships. There are a lot of dream companies visiting the campus to recruit students. companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, Paytm, Reliance, and many more provide placements and internship opportunities for students. The highest package was provided to ECE students with 1.6 crores by Facebook followed by 1.08 crores to CSE students at Amazon. The average package is about 12 lakhs. More than 150 companies visit the campus and around 100% of students get placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are three categories based on the family income of the student. Firstly, the students whose family income is less than one lakh per annum can get full tuition fee-free. Then whose family income is above one lakh and below 5 lakhs have to pay one-third of the tuition fee per semester. Finally, those whose income is above 5 lakhs per annum have to pay the full tuition fee which is 62500 per semester. SC, St students can get the full tuition fee waived. But all students have to pay the hostel fee. There are a lot of scholarships provided in college like NSP with different schemes based on student eligibility.
Campus Life
Now coming to fests conducted in college. There is mainly one annual fest named corona fest and some tech fests are occurs sometimes like once in two months. There is a central library in the college with a lot of variety of books and fully air-conditioned. Classrooms are normal with decent furniture needed. Sports and extracurricular activities occur rarely in college. there are some technical clubs for students to explore
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are provided to all students except Patna locals as shortage of rooms. The hostels are decent with normal facilities. The meal quality is good and provides a good menu across the week. You have to apply for a hostel at the time of sem registration. You have to pay 24000 per semester to stay in a hostel and it is affordable. Some of the rental rooms are available near the college to stay comfortably.
Admission
To get into NIT Patna, one should clear the JEE exam with a good percentile. There is a fee of around 600 rupees for applying JEE mains exam for one session. In the case of the general category, there will be a minimum of 96 percentile needed for a good preferred branch. After clearing JEE mains just go through Josaa or CSAB to secure admission to NIT Patna. Once, you get admission to NIT Patna just follow the instructions provided by the college by checking their official site regularly. You can also avail of the benefits of reservations like OBC, SC, ST, and so on in case of cut-off for seats and also in fee structure.
Other Applied Colleges
NIT Warangal | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
My all India rank is not sufficient to get admission in that college and preferred branch
