Exponentially Evolving campus with promising outlook into the future

Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the most dynamic departments of the institute with excellent faculty and ample resources and opportunities accessible to students. The faculty is highly trained and the student: faculty ratio is also commendable. Term exams take place per the academic calendar and for every semester we have a Mid-Sem exam of 30 marks and an End-Sem, including Viva and practicals of 70 marks. There is a total of 8 semesters as per the curricula of any engineering college.

Timeline is marked by notable names such as Amazon, Microsoft, Intuit, Atlassian, Google, LinkedIn, Cloud Era, SmartPrix, American Express, Oracle, Paytm, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Deloitte, Accenture, and more.

Placements have recorded exponential growth in recent years with the highest packages regularly crossing set Crore benchmarks. Internship opportunities are also available from the beginning of 3rd year (or 5th semester) and recognized industry companies register their presence for the same as well.

The fee structure is reasonable and no hike policies have been introduced in the past few years. Reserved categories candidates can avail fee reductions by applying for state scholarships or student loans (a popular one being DRCC) and such.

The Annual Technical and Cultural Fest of the college, Corona, and Melange are held in the months of January- February. Besides, Eccentric is a cultural event hosted in the month of November. Other than these, numerous other events are organized in the college from time to time. Libraries are well-maintained and furnished with all course content and more. Classrooms are well-maintained too. There are various clubs and societies in the college catering to all sorts of technical and cultural feeds. Students in these clubs actively organize numerous events in the college from time to time too.

First-year boys are provided lodging in the Sone Hostel and are shifted to the Brahmaputra Hostel as their year advances. Girls from all years are provided accommodation in Ganga Hostel. Hostels are well-furnished with basic amenities and looked after by competent wardens. At the moment, undergoing work is taking place for an expanded hostel area in the New Bihta Campus.

Admissions take place through JEE Main ranks when applied through JOSAA Counselling. Details regarding the same are available on the JEE Main NTA website. Counseling begins soon after the results of JEE Advanced are declared and lasts for a month with multiple rounds. Finally, after physical reporting in the institute, admission is secured.
