Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I just wanted to learn Japanese without spending too much money, so I started exploring on the internet which is the best institute to learn foreign languages. However, I found that JNU is the best place for learning a foreign language. The ratio of students and teachers is not good enough in Japanese centers. The faculty and teaching staff are well-qualified and they teach using the best teaching methods. There are three sessional tests and one end Semester exam. You have to pass at least 2 sessional tests to seat for the end Semester exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

I guess the Fees of JNU are affordable for all. A student can pay their fees, mess, and hostel bill easily by doing part-time. Hostel fees and the fees of order courses like physical science, nanoscience, and MBA courses have been increased due to the fees hike policy however fees of some courses like BA and MA remain the same. There are many kinds of Scholarships there. JNU MCM is one of the popular ones. You can do freelancing and a part-time job while studying. You can earn by teaching staff's kids.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many kinds of fest organized by different languages center. German week by CGS, Kizuna by CJS, and Hangul day by CKS is the popular fests of JNU SL. JNU has the best library in New Delhi. It has a 13th floor. Many books are available here. All classrooms are student and teacher-friendly. There is a projector in every classroom. There are many clubs, social groups as well as political groups too which are run by students like the JNU Dance club, the JNU adventure club, etc.

Admission

There was JNUEE ( JNU ENTRANCE EXAM) conducted by NTA ( National Testing Agency). However, It is CUET now. Eligibility criteria for this course - Candidates must be passed out of 12th or equivalent from CBSE or any state board. All streams of candidates are eligible for the entrance exam. The notification and information about the application form will appear official website of NTA. Application forms usually come in April or May. The application fee is not too much compared to other entrance examinations. It's around 800. There are caste reservations, defense reservations, and JNU staff-child reservations there.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
