Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very well made for the students. The faculty-student ratio is around 40:1. The faculties are qualified for the task as well. The exams were medium size and if you study well you will pass with flying colors.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are for students in the 5th semester. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Tata also come for internships and the stipends can range from 25000 to anywhere to 100000. The projects can be asked from the groups or the professors as well.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and BCS also come for placements here. The highest package offer is around 1.65 CPA and the lowest is around 25LPA. Around 98% of students get placements. I also plan to get placement on campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for a semester is around 120000 Rs. There are also scholarships that students can avail of to meet the criteria. The placements on campus are also very high. Around 98% of students get job offers and some get around 2-3 job offers as well.

Campus Life

Campus life is amazing. The several groups and clubs also facilitate students becoming accustomed to the campus. The annual fest Thomson in October and tech fest Cognizance in March boast around 10000 participants every year and students from different colleges are also invited. The library is also available 24/7 for students. The sports facilities are also awesome.

Hostel Facilities

Proper hostel facilities are provided to everyone. All the hostels are properly maintained. The messy food is of top-notch quality. The registration process is during admission to the college itself.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

The eligibility is to clear JEE MAINS as well as JEE ADVANCED and to get a good branch you need around 6-7k rank in the JEE ADVANCED. I don't belong to any reservation and hence do not avail of the benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

From the 7th semester you can sit on the placement drives.. Multiple companies visited like accenture,adobe,tcs etc. The percentage is little bit low this year..i have not much knowledge about it right now. I will try to get a good job.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
