A Guide to IIT ROORKEE

This was the course I was getting in my score range of jee advanced. IIT Roorkee has an approximate student-to-teacher ratio of 10:1 All the professors are highly qualified Ph.D. scholars in their fields. Due to the late beginning of the semester, the exams arrived earlier than expected, but with the help of the faculty, there were not many issues in passing the exams.

Some internships companies are: JP Morgan, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Uber, Texas Instruments, Adobe, Google, Rubrik, Jaguar, Oracle, Zepto, Cisco, Intel India and many more. They gave substantial stipends. Some internship projects may include Data entry Social media analytics Market research etc

Students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. Some of the companies that came into IITR were, Jaguar Land Rover India, CISCO, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Google, Adobe, Sprinklr, Navi Technologies, Paytm, Deutsche Bank, NVIDIA, VISA, ExxonMobil, Bajaj, Oracle, and many more Thousands of offers were made with 2.15 crore international and 1.8 crore domestic packages in 2022. The average package is about 25LPA. About 100% of students get placed in IITR. After getting the degree, I would prefer to have a job.

Though the fee may seem to be high, here the financially weak students are provided with up to 100% tuition fee waiver schemes, Alise based on academic and non academic performances, and other scholarships are also awarded. Various scholarships here are Merit cum means, Thomson scholarship, etc. The fee hike is a feature in every IIT and IITR is no exception, But the fee hike is coherent with the facilities and scholarships being provided here.

Annual fests in each IIT are a sight to behold. The cultural fest of IITR, THOMSON was held on 18 October for 3 days wherein many famous personalities like Sonu Nigam, Sanam, and Darshan Raval came to perform. Tech fest is cognizance, which is conducted during the march. The Mahatma Gandhi Central Library is one of the most extensive libraries where books of literary almost every genre are present. Classrooms are quite spacious, with facilities of bright lights, fans, ACs and Heating Blowers. Almost every sport and cocurricular activity opportunity are present here, A student can try anything to find his interest. INTER IIT is the sports meets of various IITs All the social groups whether technical, non-tech, or cultural. etc. are run by the students, here all the clubs are present wherein any student can join after a small primary interview round.

Rooms are good with basic amenities, like a fan, light, and a personal cupboard. Rooms may be single, double, or triple sharing. The mess food quality is quite good and the mess menu is quite vibrant. The registration for a hostel is done along with the semester registration, and the hostel is quite affordable here.

Must be class 12th qualified with more than 75%. Must qualify for the jee mains and jee advanced exams and fall in the particular score range. JEE Mains is conducted by the National testing agency(NTA) every year., Students who qualify in JEE Main over a certain cutoff are eligible to sit for JEE Advanced exam. In the case of the OBC-NCL benefit availed by me, the cutoff for the jee mains fell lower for me, also at a lower score I was able to get a better branch at the college.
