I choose this course because of my keen interest in technology. In my college there is a good student-to-teacher ration which is 20:1 . Almost all the faculties are M.Tech holders and many of them even hold Ph.D. Exams are held every 1-2 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college it does not have any fee hike policy unlike the private colleges which makes this college very affordable for middle class students. There's a TFW scholarship which stand for Tution fee waiver about which you can get detail info. from the college website .

Campus Life

Our college conducts Cultural Fest, Tech Fest & Sports fest every year. Talking about books our central library is filled with all the books related to our course. There are several clubs & societies as well.

Hostel Facilities

We have large rooms over here which have a capacity of 3 students each having a socket individually. Washrooms are also cleaned every 3-4 days. Mess food is OK to good depending upon the meal. We have a timetable in mess for the whole week.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

You must qualify for JEE Mains for admission into CSE of GBPIET. You can find the application form on the official website of NTA. I didn't avail myself of any type of reservation benefit. No improvement is required in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

I applied for this college only as my parents allowed for this one only as it is closer to my home. The college lacks a bit in terms of infrastructure as compared to other colleges in the region. The placements are not good enough. To take admission into Btech 1st year in this college, one needs to give JEE Mains exam and UKSEE for lateral entry and 12th merit is accepted for admission in Biotechnology.
