Course Curriculum Overview
The course I a pursuing right now is B.Tech in the field of Information Technology. The faculty-student ratio wasn't great for my batch as we had a class of 80 students but generally this ratio was much better for all of the other classes. Teachers are well qualified and their methodology is fine, especially the teachers who help in the preparation for the placements are excellent. Exams were not difficult to pass and were generally on schedule barring the covid period.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for the placements from the 6 semesters. A huge number of companies visit the campus, mostly mass-hiring companies like Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, etc. The placement rate is very good as most of my batch has already got placed in their 7 semesters with an average package of around 5-6 lakhs and the highest packages touching 45+ lakhs. My plans are to work in an IT company after getting my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike per year is around 5 to 10 percent. The college offers a good amount of scholarships on the basis of 12th marks and JEE rank. My total tuition fee for 4 years will add up to 9-10 lakhs as I didn't have any scholarship. When it comes to campus placements, it is better than most of the private colleges in terms of the percentage of students placed and the number of companies visiting the campus.
Campus Life
Generally, there is a major fest conducted in July of each year, which is the Grafest and various minor fest keeps taking place at regular intervals but there are almost no tech fests. Libraries are well equipped with books but the sitting capacity of most of the libraries is not adequate. Classrooms have just basic amenities of lights, fans, etc. There are a few technical and nontechnical clubs run by students, like the motorsports club, poetry club, acting club, dance club, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not good enough for the rates that are charged. The quality of meals was below average and the wardens are unecessarily strict with the hostel timings. Hostels are not good when it comes to affordability either. So, it would be better to rent a room or a pg in the nearby area.
Admission
There was no eligibility for the admissions, it was on a first come first serve basis. The admission process was smooth, just need to contact the admission office of the college with the help of the contact number given on the college's website. One improvement I would say is that the admission process could be made more transparent with clear cut-offs for different streams.
