Course Curriculum Overview
The course isn't well structured. Personally, I'm not much of a fan of studying unnecessary subjects which have no use in the future. The faculty is not so good either, but the placement cell faculties are actually really talented people and will guide you through all the pros and cons of real-life adversities
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft, Adobe, and PayPal are the huge companies that infer the internship process and offer multiple summer internships for all students. The criteria are the average CGPA of the college exams. It's a good experience if you get into those. They offer a high stipend of 1-2lacs which changes each year according to the recession and selection criteria.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible after the 2nd year for summer internships and after 3rd year for campus placements. Many mass recruiters like Accenture, TCS, and Wipro come to the campus. High recruitment companies like adobe and Goldman Sachs also come to the college for the recruitment drive in the 3rd year. Though the percentage of students getting placed is less it was ranked better than IIT Roorkee last year, so yaa you can comprehend the following.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm still getting the fee waiver of 25% which was based on my jee ranking and 12th percentage. It's good they keep a check but still a little expensive as Dehradun is pretty much overpriced according to food and living standards if you opted for hostels, I guess this would help you a bit financially but the food is unhygienic and tasteless.
Campus Life
There are multiple cultural clubs and Google developer clubs on the campus run by google interns and the google support team. There are NCC and nss clubs and organizing committees that plan through all the events and upcoming delegations in the campus. you'll get to meet a few famous personalities if you're on the organizing committee.
Hostel Facilities
The locality is worth it. One I'd crave living for. The view, the air, and the people here are actually kind and heartwarming. I personally live in the Buddhist community and it's so peaceful here. It's a place worth living in. The rooms are also not heavily rented but a fair and nominal charge is priced. Multiple PGs are also available for boys and girls.
Admission
It's a good college unless you're relying too much on the medieval methods of study which I don't think is anything but preparing you for mass recruitment (slavery). There's a lot of competitive spirit among students though. You'll find a few of your type even if you're least interactive.
