Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because my rank was not that high to get pure CSE and CSE(AIML) was my second preference and I got it in the second round of counselling. There are many facilities and you won't face any difficulty if you want to learn something. The faculty: student ratio would be around 20:1 The teachers are well qualified. Many of them are PhD holders, some are even for IITs. So they are not at all underqualified. Regarding the behaviour and teaching method, almost see all the teachers are good in behaviour, except the mechanical workshop teachers( yes, all the first-year students have mechanical workshops in their curriculum). Those mechanical teachers can teach more or less well but are intolerable when we talk about behaviour. When they are good, they are good, but out of the blue, they would start shouting like hell, as if they own the college and are the boss of the college and treating students like their staff. All the other teachers are friendly, and some of them also teach well.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 7th sem, students are eligible for placements. Earlier than that, we can do internships. There are many companies that come but most likely you would be placed in common names of company that visits the campus for placements, that is TCS, Wipro, cognizant, Infosys, and evenTech Mahindra. The placement percent is around 65 per cent. This placement per cent is going to decrease as of my calculations due to the increase in intake. The lowest offer was 2.6 LPA by TCS and the highest was around 32 LPA by Microsoft

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees have increased drastically. Earlier it used to be around 5 lacs or something but now it's 5.6 lakhs excluding other charges. We have to pay:- Rs 1200 as exam fees per semester( in total there are 8 semesters) Rs 5000 for uniform and bag. Rs 1200 for an online course, which the college forced us to purchase. (The course was of no use) Rs 2700 for registration (with respect to the first year) There are many clubs, and for almost every club, you have to pay if you want to join. Yes, but they don't force you, the seniors just insist you join, and the college authorities have nothing to do with it. After covid, forget about good internships for now. Yes maybe our batch could get it, but seniors didn't get many internship opportunities on campus. Those who have got, it applied it off-campus. But those students are few in number. About jobs, yes they provide you with on-campus jobs. About scholarships, you can apply for the swami Vivekananda scholarship, if your family income lies in their criteria

Campus Life

2

Our annual Tech fest is known as PARIDHI. But it is not conducted every year due to covid. The month in which it used to conduct earlier has been disturbed due to covid. It is expected to conduct around April-June. The campus life is a complete zero. We use to go up and down the floors if we want to pass time or chill. Lmao. There are many books, but that does not sufficiently get the point into a note about the increase in the number of intakes. The college provides you with the semester books which you have to return at the end of the semester. There were quite a few students who didn't get any books due to unavailability and shortage of books. Hope, this doesn't repeat in upcoming years. You can issue any book available in the library for 1 month, and you have to renew the issuance for further use. We have access to digital lib. As there is no campus, except for buildings, forgot about sports. The college organizes cricket and football tournaments once in 2-3 years. There are many clubs run by students

Admission

For getting admission, you must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in your classes 11 and 12. Then you have to sit for the WBJEE exam. Wbjee is conducted once every year around April-June. Earlier it used to take place around Feb. Well, tbh, this year they also took some students who didn't give wbjee, but they were few in number. The cut-off for CSE(AIML) was somewhat around 55-56k rank, but they also took direct admissions in all the new courses like cyber security, CSBS, Data science, and AIML even without donation. I am referring to the admission of our batch 2022-2026. Maybe as it was a new course introduced in our college, that's why they took students with direct admission to fill the seats. Talking about reservation benefits, yes there are benefits of TWF, i.e Tuition Fee Waiver. Only 5 per cent of students can avail benefits of TWF. Under TWF, the total fee for 4 yrs would lie around 50-60k excluding the exam fees and other charges.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
