I was from ARTS Stream and i scored 80 % in board exams and as this college is under delhi University so i had to follow cut off to get the admission i chose the Office management and secretary practice as it have good scope and also one can go for MBA for post graduate dyal Singh College is one of the reputed college as per my study and i choose this college because of it's course structure for OMSP.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure of this program is good as compare to other college the first semester comprises of english, hindi, omsp and political science yes the first semester looks quite easy but one will have to work hard to easily pass these subjects because the first semester focuses on strengthening the basics of a student Further semester advances the course structure and includes several lab courses too.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Wipro,HCL,Infosys, etc. are available for internship i haven't been in an internship but seniors have provided a good insight to it the internship experience of seniors are quite good as the internship provided a good knowledge about workplace stipend provided isn't that impressive as compare to other courses but can be considered okay for student.

4.5

Office management and secretarial practice is a job oriented discipline course after completion of this course the students can get employment as Junior Assistants, Stenographers, Front Desk Officers, Personal Assistants and Private Secretaries etc.campus placement is provided and companies like Lg,Amazon,Wipro, infosys etc. are available in campus for placement out of last time 49 out of 68 students from OMSP were placed sucessfully companies offered 16-18k per month salary to them Which can increase after on-job training period finishes.

Cultural programs are oftenly organized at college's auditorium and theater Inter college boxing championship was also hosted at our college and it was amazing events like freshers party was also organized and many of the new students took part in it including me too and it was fun the management of college always impresses the college member and outer visitors too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Rs.7620 is the basic fee of one year and is kind of feasible comparing other universities the fee is for the one year of BA program so no books will be provided by DU the students will have to purchase them from market or they can issue it on their name from library a education loan can also be availed from bank from economic help and can be payed back after placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some scholarship programs by Delhi University but i haven't taken any the college fee is feasible so i haven't felt the need of education loan but one can always avail that for economic support and pay it back after placement as the fee isn't much high as compare to private colleges or indraprasth university.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
