I came to learn but I became educated.

My college is my love. It has given me opportunities which I would never have got. All our endeavor in and out the college have been adventurous and are a constant source of learning to give wiser.

Initially, I was aiming a career in Law so I was preparing for CLAT. However, after my mock test, I became skeptical of my admission. Moreover, I scored decent marks in my senior secondary examination hence I decided to pursue a course in Economics from Delhi University. Initially, I git admission in Satyavati college but later in the following cut-off list, my marks were at the oar to get admission in Ramjas. However, modus operandi of the admission process is complicated and time-consuming. The previous history of fraud admission has resulted in a thorough examination of candidates credentials and hence students have to wait for at least 3 hours to get their documents verified.

The Economics curriculum in Delhi University is more theoretical as compared to other universities in India. I feel the most interesting subject is Macroeconomics though it requires diligence to understand the subject matter and apply it.

The placement cell of Ramjas is not that cultivated as to compare to other colleges in North Campus. It offers good opportunities for Commerce students but is not beneficial for Economics.

Apart from politics and violence (pun intended), the annual events of college are the Annual College fets Mosaic. Though various department related activities are conducted by different departments which attract a crowd from other colleges to visit Ramjas.

One of the most important perk of studying in a central government-run college is the heavily subsidised fees, which is a bliss. The annual fees of Economics are around 10,000 a year.

Well, the venue is spacious and airy. The Eco-Lawn which once used to be the pride of Economics Department is currently ripped apart because of renovation work but I would soon be returned to its glories. Also because of centennial celebration a lot of renovation work has been done which includes construction of Amphitheatre and rebuilding of college Auditorium.

The Economics Department of Ramjas college is indeed infamous for its difficulty level of internal. As the teachers are committed towards their work, they do expect the same commitment from their students. The internals is based on the understanding of subject matter and marking is done at our university standard. However, this doesn't imply that it is impossible to score good marks. If the student has deep understanding of the course (which is imperative for a course like Economics) then he/she can get through with flying colors.

The faculty at Ramjas is at par. The teacher is knowledgeable, competent and committed to helping students in both academic and non-academic matter. They are willing to offer guidance to at stage be it related to course matter, college activities, internship or any research work.
