- First which I liked in the college is the teaching faculty.
- There are a lot of fests in the college. Like ADVAYA, PARIDHI etc.
- There are a lot of clubs also in the college. Like Megatronix , SARGAM, YUVA, ROTARACT etc.
Dislikes
- The campus the the college is very small. There are no playground in college campus.
- The fees of the college is a little bit high. A lower middle class boy can't afford the fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I want to be a software developer, that's why I choose the course. faculty: ratio is 7:3(almost) Almost all of the faculties are from nits, iits. And they did M. Tech or PhDs from there. there are 4 CAs(internal exams) in each semester and a final exam at the end of the semester.
Internships Opportunities
Students that put in the effort have a decent chance of receiving internship offers in their third year if they maintain strong academic standing. The top six pupils are chosen from some good companies like Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture.
Placement Experience
The placement of cse and its batch is good, in terms that many good product-based companies come and only cse or it is allowed to sit. So if you are top-notch in terms of your skills then you may get a good place, students have been placed in microsoft, Informatica, Intel and likewise.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee at the college is a little bit high for a middle-class student. For B. Tech courses it is 5.5 lakh. But students can apply for scholarships. Home-state students can apply for svmcm scholarship.
Campus Life
One good thing about the campus is the college. You can find any ground on the campus. There is a campus in the college. and the good thing is that there are fests in the college. The annual is ADVAYA and the tech fest is PARIDHI.
Hostel Facilities
First of all, I would like to tell you that Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology doesn't have its own hostel. There are a couple of private hostels in front of the college. Food quality is quite decent in the hostels. If you're planning to live in a PG, then I'll suggest you stay in RR Plot(near Ruby Hospital) as the area is full of students of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology and Heritage Institute of Technology. Moreover, it's just 5 minutes of walking distance to Ruby crossing. But, if you choose to stay near the college you have to walk 2km to come to Ruby crossing or have to take an auto-rickshaw (availability decreases after the college is over). So, now it's your decision where you chose to stay.
Admission
If you want to take admitted to this college, you have to give wbjee exam and need a good rank there. The exam fee is 500rs. There are reservations also for SC, ST, and OBC castes. In the reservation section, I would like to include EWS also.
