Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty here at IIT JAMMU is very good and helpful. The crowd of students is less here because of the newer IIT, So the faculty-student ratio is pretty good. Almost All the faculties here are Ph.D's. There is officially a rule of 75% attendance but that is not strict.
Internships Opportunities
There are various companies that offer Internships to Students, like Sprinklr, amazon, Microsoft, Indeed etc. Highest Stipend This year is about 2 lakhs per month and the minimum is about 30-40 k per month.
Placement Experience
IIT JAMMU has very good placements stats as compared to all other 3rd gen IITs. The highest package Offered in the year 2021 is 52LPA for BTech and Median Package for CSE is 21LPA. Almost 83% of students get placed. The Overall median package of Btech is 16LPA. In MTech Highest package is 45LPA and the median is 25.5 LPA. The top companies visiting are amazon, Microsoft, sprinklr, indeed, Samsung, and Qualcomm.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total Fee for Btech Course is 12 lakhs for general students, Which includes all types of fees mess, hostel, tuition fees etc. There are various scholarships for students based on their Income. I think It is similar to all other IIT fee structures.
Campus Life
There are basically two Fest of IIT Jammu: RENAO id the Name of our cultural fest and Technuctus is the Tech fest of IIT Jammu. The infrastructure Here is good because it is newly constructed and all the classrooms are centralized AC. Almost all the major sports facilities are here. Also, there are various Clubs Run by students eg- Coding club, astronomy club, Beat Street etc.
Hostel Facilities
The conditions of the Hostel are very good compared to Other IITs as Our college is built 6-7 years ago So Infrastructure is very good to date. Mess food Is of moderate quality Not Much poor Not that good. The menu of mess here keeps changing So the variety of food is good.
Admission
Admission is entirely based on your JEE ADVANCED rank. We have to go through jossa counselling to apply for this college. Josaa Is fully conducted in an online mode. You can check the latest cutoffs of JEE Advanced rank on the Internet.
