- Nature is beautiful and if you are nature lover you will definitely like this place.
- It is near to many beautiful trekking destinations so you can spend your time exploring beautiful Garhwal mountains.
- You get enough holidays to work on yourself/skills life goes easy here.
Dislikes
- Faculty is not good and decade old curriculum is followed.
- not too many companies visit campus, student either prepare for gate/off campus placements.
- Admin block (full of lazy people) they would make you go here and there for a simple work.
Course Curriculum Overview
Not all professors are Ph.D. holders. The curriculum is poorly designed. You get choices for electives only after the 4th sem. The curriculum is old. There are 3 exams in one sem.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees per sem are around 50k which includes the hostel fee and academic fee. Hostel fee = 20k per semester. Academic fee = 30k per semester.
Campus Life
life is good on campus. You get a lot of free time (5 days a week is followed in college and sem breaks are of at least one month and even if you maintain 65% attendance you won't be detained). Josh is the annual sports fest which is held in the month of March. Goonj is the cultural fest of our college which is usually organized in April.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good but because of two new branches hostels are overburdened 4-3 students are sharing a single room (except final year students). The food is not that bad. (worst in Rudra hostel).
Admission
Admission is done based on JEE score. Preference is given to the students with Uttarakhand domicile. The cutoff for GEN males (Uttarakhand) is around 130000 AIR for CSE. and is almost the same for CSE AI&ML. For girls, it is around 180000-200000 AIR. Note: UTU conducts counseling for all the govt. colleges in Uttarakhand.
