Course Curriculum Overview
So I like some branches out of which electrical was the one, but however, I got this branch in the JOSAA counselling. And the faculties are not very much support if you are planning to prepare for some other exams, but with respect to the subjects (course subjects), faculties will help you, not all the faculty but there will be some faculty who will help you. Student ratio: the student ratio of my department is more towards the boy side, i.e. if a class has 40 boys then there would be 20 girls. For each year there will be 2 semesters, and each semester has mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. So overall in a year, you will have two mid-sem and two end-sem. And preparation, if I would tell you, is very easy if you even sincerely study just two-three days before the exam you can easily score a very good score.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies that came for internships some among them were, PayPal, Google, Amazon, Intuit, Reliance, Mathworks, etc. for SDE roles, business development, front-end, back-end, full-stack development, data analyst, etc.
Placement Experience
At the start of the 4th year company starts to come for placement. There are many companies that have visited some are Amazon, Google, Adobe, Reliance, BHEL, Tekion, Oracle, Infoedge, Infotech, IDFC first bank, Intuit, PayPal etc. The average package of my department is 11lpa. Around 80% studet\nt have been placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual course fee is 1,50,000 and the hostel fee (if opted for) is 50,000. And if your family income is less than 1lpa then 2/3rd of your tuition fees will be refunded ad if your family income is between 1lpa to 5lpa then 1/3rd of the tuition fees is refunded.
Campus Life
There are many different fests in our college like Tech-fest, cultural fest, then freshers party, etc. but the quality of this fest and programs are not good, moreover, the college is not very supportive. Other than that we have a very big sports complex which has a very good basketball court, football ground, cricket ground, badminton court, tennis court, table tennis, gym (not very good), swimming pool(under construction for many years and I think it will remain in under construction). Then we have a library with a lot of books and a digital library facility. There are many different clubs, like:- robotics club, E-cell, Aaveg (acting club), fine arts club, Malhar club(musical club), Dzire (dance club), WeCan club, etc.
Admission
The admission process for NIT Agartala was smooth and efficient. I applied for the B.tech course through the JEE Mains entrance exam. The application process for JEE was online, and I had to fill in my personal and academic details, upload scanned documents and pay the admission fees. The eligibility criteria for the B.tech course in NIT Agartala was a minimum of 75% marks in your class 12th, along with a valid JEE mains score. The respective dates regarding the exam, and form fees, will be available on the official website of nta. I think the admission process was well-organised and streamlined. However, one improvement I would suggest is to provide more transparency in the counselling process, especially for the allocation of seats. It would be helpful if the institute could provide more detailed information regarding the criteria used for seat allocation, as it would help students make more informed choices.
