What Students Say
Likes
- Lively campus. Some or the other activities happen every now and then
- Very well maintained. Great Infrastructure. Nice classrooms and great learning environment.
- Good library to study without distraction. Most of the teachers are good and help a lot
Dislikes
- No AC in classrooms. Even after such high fee. There should be AC in classrooms
- Very strict regarding attendance. So many activities are there but we have to miss out on some because of attendence criteria
- Course Curriculum is a little outdated. Can be improved a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have been programming since class 11 and wanted to be a Software engineer. That is why I opted for btech. Most of the faculty members are good. They are highly qualified and are great in their field. Some are not that good but almost all the teachers are very helpful and empathetic towards students. They try to help clear all the doubts. There is 1 faculty for 60 students. There are mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. The exam is tough and you need to study to pass them.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know a lot since I am in 2nd year but one of the seniors got a 4-month internship in Volvo, Sweden with a stipend of 2.2 lakhs. A girl got an internship at Google with a stipend of 1.1 lacks. Most of the seniors got one internship or another ranginv from 5000-50000 per month
Placement Experience
Almost all students get placed in some company or other. Some get a very high package while some get the bare minimum. It mostly depends on students but a lot of opportunities are provided by the college. I want to pursue M tech after Btech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is around twenty lakhs for a complete btech that is nearly 5 lakhs per semester. I haven't received any scholarship from the college. Since I am currently in 2nd year, I haven't got any internship from campus but the college does offer a lot of internships to 3rd-year students.
Campus Life
The annual festival gravest is conducted in November. And a summer fest is also conducted in June. And a lot of tech workshops and fest are conducted throughout the year. There is a huge main library and another library, especially for cs-it students. So there are a lot of books available. We can issue any book we want without any problem. The classrooms are huge and spacious. The only facility missing is ac in classrooms. The labs are good. football, basketball, cricket, badminton and many more tournaments are conducted. Though a swimming pool is missing. A lot of tech societies and other societies like debating, drama, writing, singing etc are run by students and they organize events every now and then.
Hostel Facilities
I live in a hostel. During admission time when I came to college for admission, I checked the rooms and booked a hostel also. Hostel rooms are spacious and clean, each room having a huge Almira, a separate washroom and bathroom and a nice balcony. The hostel fee is 150000 per year. The food is not very good. It is plain and has no spice and is sometimes too oily. The hostel outing timing is limited and rules are strict.
Admission
The application process was simple. For admission in btech there were 2 ways - first through jee result and 2nd through board percentage. If you have scored more than 90% on board or more than 85 percentile in jee there is a good chance you can get admission to the college. All the application details can be found at the official site of the university. A pdf is available with all the details about fees and other things
