My Experience

I choose B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering because nowadays you have a very good scope in these fields. Even there is a subgroup of computer science such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber security, IOT, and many more so one can follow their interest in any of the subjects in their specialization.IT industry is growing very fast these days so I think I can do my level best in this field. The faculty members in this is very student friendly you can communicate with them any time you need they are ready to help in the best way possible. Classes are taken regularly all the labs are well-maintained. Teachers teach different kinds of presentations with projectors. Class tests are taken every month and assignments are given every week. The question paper they set is moderate level and one can easily pass if he/she studies.

In your 3rd year, you will work on a mini-project. You don't get on-campus internship opportunities in your 3rd year. But obviously in your 4th year after you get placed you get an internship from that company. In your 4th year, you will work on your final project.

The cost of education in this college is moderate. In 1st year 1st sem, you have to pay 80,000 during admission and in 2nd sem 65,000/- from the second year onwards you have to pay 56,500/- each sem. Total fees are 4.84 lakhs. All the government scholarships are accepted at this college. You can also avail a student credit card. The training and placement cell is very good they provide you with the right guidance at the end of the 3rd-year placement will start. So if you are well prepared before your 7th sem you will have a job in your hand.

We have different kinds of fests in this college. We have our Technical club Megatronix which conducts one of the biggest Tech fests in Kolkata in April named Paridhi, then we have the cultural club of MSIT Yuva which conducts the fest named Advaya they also arrange for freshers named Footprint. Both these events are conducted amazingly. Then we have the Rotaract Club of MSIT. And last but not least Sargam the music club of MSIT is also an active club that conducts events on special days such as 15th August, Rabindra Jayanti, and many more. MCL which is the cricket league and MSL which is the football league is also conducted every year.

The admission process in this college was very transparent. I took my admission through the WBJEE exam. You have to just fill the WBJEE counseling choices very carefully because once it's filled and saved you cannot change that. So you need to be very careful while filling up that choice. Once you get your preferred branch in this college you will have to go to the college they will very the documents and they will start with the admission process. There are no Reservation Facilities in this college. You have to take admission only through JEE or WBJEE. You can also take admission through the Management quota.
