Remarks

During these three years, there was boon as well as bane. Some things were very brilliant and somethings were rude too. When we have to do some manage-mental work, we need to go the administrative office and there we faced some difficulties. The only thing that college have to do is to appoint better qualified members at the management office otherwise it is good. On the other hand, overall it was a good experience.

Entrance Preview

I gave an entrance examination for undergraduate course B.A Hons. English. I scored 85% and got this college. I opt for only this course because i had only interest in literature for my further studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As far as language is concerned, I will say that this is the best course for your overall development. If u choose English hons. for your further studies, you not help yourself in building your own status but also it somehow help others as their communication skills improve.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, i will say our college is also good in providing internship to the intelligent students which help them for their better future. This internship not only help them in their future but also helps when the student is in third year and many private IT companies come to the college for the placements.

Placement Experience

4.5

Though English hons. is not an easy course but if you are good at literature and score good marks in your examination, that helps in the placements. When placement cell approaches college, they interview that students who have scored good marks. Many companies have come and they offer 30k starting.

College Events

4

In cultural activities and programs, Satyawati college is very good. In a single month, there are so much festivals that you can easily participate in 2 or 3 events. These are held on regular basis means if somehow u could not attend one program me due to your internals and something else, you can very soon participate in other. There are prizes too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure: I mean this is the best thing. I will say that if you are studying in a university like Delhi university in such a less fees then there can not be better than this. For my course i.e Eng hons., the fee is only 5 to 6 k annually which is very affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students who are good at studies and score brilliantly marks in their examination have no need to worry about scholarships. If they are getting above 60% marks, then they will get scholarship too. The college provides scholarships to those students every year.

Campus Life

4.5

These three years were the best of my life. Everything u get from such campus life. The atmosphere is so brilliant there that you feel home every time there. As Satyawati college is a co-ed college, there are equal girls and boys. For the science courses, there is a good facility of labs. This college is also brilliant in sports as it provides all essential material needed for outdoor and indoor games. Each and every year a new student union is formed which works for the student welfare.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facility in the college is the thing on which they need to work upon because students come from very far distances and they desperately need hostels specially girls. They will have to provide more seats so that each and every one may get hostel. On the other hand, mess facility is always good. People are very fond of eating mess food.

Alumni/Alumna

When we first admitted in the college, we are worried about everything that how will we interact with seniors our teachers. Will there be ragging or something else ? But i tell you, meeting with the seniors for the first time was a best of best things. How they talked to us was totally unexpected. They were very helpful.

Exam Structure

Exam process is very good. As there is semester system, so you don't feel burden on your shoulders. For a single semester you have to go through only 5 or 6 semesters which you can handle very easily and can score good marks. While giving examination, such atmosphere is provided that you have no idea when 3 hours have passed.

Admission

For taking admission in this course, i had to give entrance examination. Firstly i fill up the form through website of Delhi university then the examination held in the month of may. It consists of 200 questions with 200 marks. The minimum criteria for being applicable was 60% to get available for this course.

Faculty

5

In the whole Delhi university, the faculty of English hons. in Satyawati college is the best. It has also been certified by NAAC. All professors are qualified with a great knowledge. They not only help us in our course syllabus but also provide us many related things which are very helpful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
