Faculty is mostly people who are good at research not teaching. They know well but the common interaction and teaching skills of coaching teachers were better. Exams are tough but one thing is pyqs are repeated. One semester is of 4 months consisting of one mid-term and one end-term. Faculty sizes in comparison to student sizes are less

IIT Roorkee Social Life User How's life at Iitroorkee like social life etc ChatGPT As an AI language model, I don't have personal experiences, but I can provide you with some general information about social life at IIT Roorkee based on what I know. IIT Roorkee is a premier engineering institute in India, and it has a vibrant campus life with various extracurricular activities and clubs. The institute has a large student population, and there are plenty of opportunities to meet people and make friends. The institute has numerous student clubs and societies, including cultural clubs, sports clubs, technical clubs, and more. These clubs organize various events and activities throughout the year, including fests, cultural nights, technical competitions, and more. Participating in these activities is an excellent way to meet new people and make friends. Apart from the student clubs, IIT Roorkee has several hostels, and each hostel has its own unique culture and traditions.

Placement Experience

In 4th year 1 sem u get placed. Though many opt for higher studies and I also wanna do an MS in AI. Around 93% get placed who sit in on-campus placements. Sde and quant are dominant along with data science

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't apply for any scholarship so I don't know about that. Though I know below 5 lakh you get a 66% waiver and with 7+cg you also get the whole 1 lakh tuition fee back. Still in 2nd year so no job but good on-campus interns are provided

Hostel Facilities

IIT Roorkee has a system of wardens who are responsible for the management of the hostels. Each hostel has a warden, and the wardens are usually faculty members of the institute. The wardens are responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the hostel and ensuring the well-being of the students residing there. The wardens play a crucial role in the hostel life of students. They are responsible for maintaining discipline in the hostel, organizing various activities and events, and ensuring that the students follow the rules and regulations of the institute. They also act as mentors and guides to the students, providing them with academic and personal guidance as required.

Admission

It was jee advanced. I passed 12th and gave it that year. Application form starts after Jee mains result and its registration opens by January itself. I don't seek any improvement as it is already optimum

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
