- Location of IIT is not good. It is in a small town.

Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very exciting but some courses are too old and not required. The faculty-student ratio is quite low. All faculties are highly qualified with PhDs from renowned institutes across the world.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities start in the 5th semester when companies come for interns. Numerous companies ranging from Microsoft to Derivatives come for interns. Research internships are also offered in Canada.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent. Every year highest package goes above 1cr. Around 1000 companies visit every year. Students from the 5th semester become eligible for official internships. If they do well in them, they get PPO and don't have to sit for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is nominal, Per semester it costs around 1.3- 1.4L. There are different scholarships. Those who secure AIR under 200 get a Thomson scholarship of Rs 25k per month for their entire BTECH journey from the institute.
Campus Life
Campus life is very exciting. There are different clubs catering to various interests of students. Classrooms include centralised AC during summers and heaters during winters. The library is very big containing lakhs of books and journals.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are descent. Meal is provided by private dealers. They provide very good food. Each hostel has got separate cantene. So no worries for running here and there for chips. For first year, hostel rooms are single, double or tripple based on your ranks. Then from second year almost all students get single room.
Admission
Admission was through JEE Advance. I studied for JEE in resonance and secured AIR 1916 - general category. Everything regarding JEE Main is controlled by NTA, and after that the organising institute for JEE Advance takes control.
