Remarks

Overall my college is great and i had an amazing time here. There are hardly any negatives against my college. I have lived 3 awesome and unforgettable years of my life here.

Entrance Preview

For BA in Economics there is no specific examination. The results of class 12 examinations are considered. I was good in maths and i had interest in Economics. That is why i opted for this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There is tremendous scope in my course. You can pursue as a financial analyst, a professor, an entrepreneur or you can land up in the research field. There is a huge demand for economists all over the world. Economists are usually given good designations and pay.

Internships Opportunities

No, there is no internship provided by the college. You are on your own when it comes to internship. I had to struggle for my internship.

Placement Experience

3

You need to enroll in the campus placement cell. There is a good amount of footfall of renowned companies like TCS, smartcube, XEROX, etc. By enrollment into campus placement cell you get good opportunity in getting placed in good companies. The packages start from 2.5lakhs onward. If you are lucky enough you can even bag in packages of 7-8 lakhs.

College Events

4

When it comes to events the college is very happening. The departmental festival of Economics society ECOLUDE is very popular in the University and lots of students come to be a part of it. The college festival namely HORIZON is also a big hit and showcases renowned stars and singers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college the fee structure is relatively very low as compared to the private colleges. I remember when i was in college my annual fees was approximately 4000 rs per annum. This is quiet pocket friendly and does not hurt your budget hard. Note that Fees of other courses might vary.

Fees and Financial Aid

First of all the fee structure is quiet low and therefore there is lesser requirement for loans. But even if there are some requirements then there is a bank in the college itself. Punjab and National Bank is situated in the college and you can approach it for any loan requirements. I m sure they will help you out.

Campus Life

4.5

The crowd is good. You get students from all over the country. Its very diversified in respect to race, religion, caste, etc. Also there is a complaint cell that listens to all your grievances and comes out with quick and fruitful results. There are regular workshops, programs, parties held by the societies, students and even the student union party.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college doesn't provides you with hostel facilities. But nonetheless it falls near the north campus and you get good amount of PGs and flats in the nearby areas. You can find PGs and flat as per your budget. Mobile applications like property bazar, quicker, justdial, olx, etc helps you to find a PG or flat conveniently.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful and friendly. They even organised us a great freshers party. They even help you with the notes and guidance. Listening to them will surely make your college life awesome.

Exam Structure

The exams are taken in the college premises itself. The college provides good amount of study leaves in between the papers. There are two semesters in a year and in between the semesters there are unit tests held in the class itself. So overall its a chilled out schedule as you get lots of time to prepare.

Admission

Your higher secondary examination results are considered for admission. You can get the form from the college itself. A cut off list is declared by the college. If you have the marks then you can apply for this college. Just go to the college on the mentioned dates, collect the from, fill in the details and thats it.

Faculty

5

The college faculty is excellent and supportive. Don't know about other courses but economics professors are highly educated. They are friendly too and are always ready to help. You can also get in touch with them personally. Also they support recreational activities like outings.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
