IIT guwahati - most beautiful Campus

Course curriculum and faculty is very good. I choose this course because of passion in mechanics and since its an IIT its placement record is very good. Faculty to student ratio is around 1:50. All the faculties are well qualified and experienced. Term exams are held timely they are not too difficult, anyone can score good by giving less efforts.

A lot of companies come to offer internships every year covering almost every domain. Stipend varies depending on student and company some students got a stipend of 2 lakhs per month and some got 30-40k per month.

Campus placements are amazing. Students sit for placements in 7th semester. Companies like Google, Microsoft, amazon and more 200+ companies visit the campus. Around 600-700, offers are made every year. This year highest package was 2.4 crore per annum and average package was 20 lakhs per annum. Around 85% of students get placed every year in placements. My plan afted getting degree is to start a company work on a startup.

Fee structure is semester wise and there are a lot of financial assistance provided like if your family income is less than 5 lakhs you get 66% off on tuition fees and if your family income is less than 1 lakh 100% of on tuition fees. Campus placements are wonderful average package is around 20 lpa highest package was 2 crore per annum. There are a lot of internship opportunities provided as well.

Campus life is very good. We have a cultural fest named Alcheringa in February month and a tech fest named Techniche in September month. We have a lot of clubs covering almost all domains like entrepreneurship club, coding club, and a lot of cultural and sports clubs as well. Every year we have inter hostel sports meet called spardha. The library is very big and it has a lot of books covering all domains.

Hostels are good. We have a gym, sports room, library, music room and grounds to play. The room is of decent size. Mess food tasted good, and a lot of options are provided during breakfast lunch, and dinner. Veg and nonveg both options are available. In the first and second years we get double occupancy rooms and then single occupancy rooms are provided.

The admission process is an entrance exam JEE Advanced followed by JOSAA counseling. You need to pass the cutoff of JEE Mains to sit in JEE Advanced. Application form and other details can be found on JEE advanced website jeeadv.ac.in. Application fees are around 2800.
