Course Curriculum Overview
Talking about chemical engineering it would be not up to mark I used to think initially but after getting into this college and entering this department I started enjoying it. All the faculties are very chill and always encourage us to think outside of the box. All faculties are Ph.D qualified and makes the concepts very easy to grasp. Talking about exams , so yes they are bit tough but you can pass them easily if you give a attend lectures carefully.
Internships Opportunities
For UG students we've UG Research Programme in which we can have internships under our faculty. Moreover, if you get a chance for any internship apart from college you can also join it by taking LOR from the department.
Placement Experience
NITC do provide placements talking about 2021-2022 about 193 companies visited the Institute and around 1000+ students got placed The highest package was 63LPA from the CSE department whereas the average was 8 LPA Companies like DE Shaw, Amazon, Visa, Goldman Sachs, etc do visit. As of now plan after getting my degree is to go for campus placement
Fees and Financial Aid
Talking about fee structure so NIT Calicut follows the same trend followed by other NITs for different categories the fee structure is different which you can see on the NIT Calicut website. For people from Kerala Or from different categories there are many scholarships provided
Campus Life
Campus life at NITC is amazing, especially during fests like the cultural fest (Ragam in May) and technical fest (Tathva in October), whole student community irrespective of different faculties join and enjoys a lot. Talking about clubs, there are many clubs related to dance, music, singing, technical and a lot more. NITC has its own mega library where you can find the 'n' number of books and also you can get pdfs easily. NITC students participate in every type of sports like cricket, badminton, football, tennis, etc
Hostel Facilities
NITC has mega hostels for both girls as well as boys which has 7 blocks and can accommodate upto 5000+ students at a time.Mega Hostel has two messes which provide good quality of food, everyday you'll find something different in menu. Moreover, mega hostel has its own general store, in campus sports facility, study rooms with good wifi connection. Registration process is also smooth and if a student find room is uncomfortable he/she can apply for change.
Admission
For eligibility, you have to clear JEE mains exam for which every year forms are released by NTA The admission process is very smooth after clearing the exam, getting ready with all the documents and reporting to the Institute for verification purposes.
