Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is pretty comprehensive and not so easy to do. Only people having a strong command over maths should go for it. Also, I am from a humanities background and even then I didn't face any difficulty. The faculty members which have been part of the college for 10-15 yrs are great. The new faculty members do have the knowledge but lack experience due to which they cannot provide us with the same exposure as the senior ones.

Placement Experience

4.5

SRCC has the best placement rate and the average package in the entire Delhi University. The BIG 4 companies also come to the college for placements. Considering my plans after the degree, I might go for a placement if got a good one otherwise I will go for a master's.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college are very minimal which is around 28k per year. The infrastructure, facilities, faculty members, etc. are pretty good considering the fees. The college also provides scholarships for the economically backward sections of the society.

Campus Life

4

Life on the campus is very very competitive. The college offers two courses for undergraudation in which maximum students are inclined towards the corporate sector. So right from the first day of college, the rat race begins. You will do things that you might don't want to do because of the pressure there. But you should not take this as a negative point, but rather a positive one. Colleges are meant to provide such exposure and SRCC is a perfect one for that. Coming to clubs, there are a variety of clubs, the majority of which are in the commerce field. The college also has a huge sports complex and supports students in the sports field. The library is huge, all books are available in the library.

Admission

The admission process during my time of admission was based on merit. SRCC has the highest cut-offs and generally, the list closes by 3rd round. Now the process has been changed and it's compulsory for everyone to give the entrance exam CUET. If someone gets the same score in CUET and there is only one seat in a particular college, then your 12th mark will be considered.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
