- The overall atmosphere, students, peers, teachers, all are easy to go with, quite friendly and helpful
- Canteen, sports facilitiy, library, a good atmosphere for fun activities.
- Good and vast connectivity to the city especially to Mussoorie.
Dislikes
- Excessive discipline which makes you feel like constrained like in school
- Lack of management at the events and cleanliness
- Bus facilities are not quite optimum we have to walk over a distance of 1 km to get our buses
Course Curriculum Overview
As I am persuing Btech I have a lot of teachers . And overall they all are well experience and helpful but the teacher to the student ratio ruins it all. At present in my class there 75 students so you can guess how difficult it is. All of them have different teaching styles and teach with there heart not just come and go to the class .Academically gehu is very good teachers pay quite attention i am in the first year i have to go through all the domains of engineering and have minimum 10 subjects to read and learn including lab practicals. Exams are conducted regularly and cheating is must . Without cheating all the students except the toppers one are going to fail.
Internships Opportunities
As i am in first year i really dont know much about the internships and companies . But alot of senior goes for the internship at their third year. Google ,atlassian, zscaler, adobe, etc are the companies that come here
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure of gehu is quite visible and open. As in 1st year my yearly fees is around 200000 without hostel. Fees is definitely increasing year by year. Cost to study is okaishhh. Other colleges also charge somewhat around this range only
Campus Life
Yes the campus life crowd clubs fests are quite satisfactory in this college. Students and the environment around us is quite active and students are quite knowledgeable and fun as all are garhwali in the hill campus as it provides 25% fee confession to the Uttarakhand residents. Recently the annual fest GRAFEST took place and it was one hell of a bang Ayushmaan Khurrana, Neha Kakkar, Catherine came for it on 3 days. Library facilities are not up to the mark at the hill campus consisting of only one main library and not enough space for students. Sports and extra curricular acitvities are quite good frequent events, hackathons, quizes, sports activities are conducted by students and the event organizer team. Kavyanjali ,Gorkha paltan etc are major clubs gehu erp is the website for students.
Admission
Admission process was hassle free. No there were no entrance exam. As i am persuing btech i was eligible only if i had pcm in 12th. Admission forms and fees and dates all are available at this link https://www.gehu.ac.in/ Yes there can be alot of improvements in the admission process as to which of the documents related stuff.
