Campus life is amazing, with remarkable internet facilities.

Entrance Preview

Secured good enough ranks in jee-mains & advance. There is no interview prcess for admission in IITs. This is the best institute chain in India (I guess) for engineering that's why I chose it.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is more related to the application of knowledge in different industries. Practicals are also equally weighed as theoretical studies. Students have a chance to get involved in a research program with different faculty members. A wide range of electives is open for the students to choose from them as per their area of interest.

Internships Opportunities

Never been to an official intern from college. But yes our college provides opportunities for interns.

Placement Experience

Almost everyone gets placed after graduation. Major companies include Google, Goldman sachs, Adobe, Schlum Berger etc. I don't have any Idea about average package.

College Events

The college organized several cultural, technical, sports fests like thomso, cognizance, Sangram, etc. They are well-renowned fest across the country. No idea about footfall. College authorities supervise all the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of one semester is around 1.3 lacs for students having parental annual income above 5 lacs. for those who have an income 1-5 lacs, it's around 60k. And below 1 lac annual income, it's around 30k (these charges include hostel & dining facilities). I think it's affordable.

Various scholarships are provided by the college in different fields.

Campus Life

College provides funds to different sections like music, design, astronomy, and many others so that students can persue their interests with the studies. The sports facilities of the campus are appreciable.

We have one group of the college which is dedicated to alumni networks. Our alumni support us in every possible way.

Exam Structure

We have plenty of time in spite of our academics so I don't think the schedule is hectic.

Faculty

Most of the professors are big guns in their fields having great experience of teaching. Overall teaching facility is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
