Remarks
The college has best academics and infrastructure. One needs to have passion and dedication to work for the country to get into ISRO, with which IIST is collaborated. IIST provides an easy platform to get into such a magnificent and successful industry of the country where highly educated officials and scientists will be working. It is a wonderful opportunity and blessing to the students of IIST, for getting into ISRO and serving the nation.
Entrance Preview
JEE MAINS and IIT ADVANCED was the entrance exam written to get into this college. It is the only space college in India and the course Avionics covers electronics and communications and few parts of computer science and electrical courses too. The passion to work both as an engineer and a scientist and be of some use to the country and fellow beings of the society made me choose this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was extremely good and satisfying. There were labs dedicated exclusively to each course and a project was taken up for each course during the eight semesters to gain more insight into practical learning. The institute is in collaboration with ISRO and actively participates in conferences and encourages students to take up research work and present them in the conferences.
Internships Opportunities
The college provided internship and it was very good. We don't have the stipend amount but there is a lot of knowledge that we gained from it.
Placement Experience
The college is collaborated with ISRO. 100 students out of 150 have been absorbed into various centers of ISRO. The average package is 8LPA. Few other students have been placed in companies like TCS, Viasat, SatSure.

Fee Structure And Facilities
It is very affordable to all the classes. The merit students are denied from paying fee and those who are below the merit declared by the college, have to pay an amount of 49,500/- every semester.

The college provides free education to merit students. It gives a scholarship amount of 49,500/- every semester. I have availed of the scholarship all the eight semesters.
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities were good. As the strength of the college is less, we had more chances of participating in all the activities. Most of our inner talents were brought out in college. The facilities were proper, good and sufficient enough.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is awesome with not even a single complaint or a mark to show at. We had single rooms and double sharing rooms as well. Based on the merit, the hostel facilities were also free. The food was good and healthy. Though it was not very tasty at times, it was always healthy. There was no PG.
Alumni/Alumna
We have frequent interactions with our alumni and they give suggestions in various possible aspects and also contribute to the development of our college.
Exam Structure
They weren't very frequent. We had ample of time to actively take part in extra curricular activities and develop skills other than the courses mentioned in academics. We had various cultural activities and fests too, to unite students and strengthen the bonds.
Faculty
The professors are very intellectual with high knowledge who are mostly doctorates from renowned institutions. The classes are lively and interactive encouraging students to think out of the box. The standard of teaching is high inspiring students to aim high and set higher goals and ambitions.
