Overall the college experience is a good one where I learned new things.

Entrance Preview

I was selected for this university by passing JEE MAINS test. Then we were required to register in the JOSAA, where we were asked to select the colleges we wanted. From there I was selected in this university.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure was the same as used in every colleges but our university has very good laboratories and the practical learning is good

Internships Opportunities

University didn't provide us with internship, we have to search the internship on our own.

Placement Experience

Placement in last year's have increased and more companies are coming to provide placements.

College Events

Well there are sports events conducted by the university which are quite professional including auctions for the players from the students. Then there are art events conducted by students of senior years. And finally we have our annual tech fest called JNANAGINI.

It is pretty much affordable for any middle class family. It is around 60000 rs. annually.

While the college doesn't provide any scholarship but it helps us to attain various other scholarships. I also got UP scholarship.

College provides ample opportunities for extracurricular activities. Many students show their talents in various events.

Hostel Facilities

There is a separate hostel for first years than the others to stop ragging. The rooms are on sharing. Food was ok.

Alumni/Alumna

The relationship between senior-junior students are like brother to brother relationship and there is regular contact between students and alumni. Alumnus are also invited in tech fest to increase interaction with them.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted quite often like 2 mid-terms per subject, internal and external practicals, semester exams. At some time it becomes quite hectic to cope with them but otherwise it is exhilarating.

Faculty

Faculty is quite good and friendly. Interaction with them is good, they are very supportive to any ideas we have.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

aspects of curricullum that influenced my desicion to take admission: technical based courses are available. a well defined infrastructure. seperate buildings to involve in different regions of technology. available technical courses with updated and advanced syllabus with great faculty and seminars of different active clubs like google and microoft club. Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

Life at Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya (GKV, Haridwar)

I choose this college because it is old esteemed deemed to be university. It is one of the oldest university in India with much good prestige in lists of college. It is internationally recognized good institution as stated by the government of India. It is NAAC accredated and also UGC funded university. It is purely boys college, no girls are allowed admission in this college. This institution is managed by the Arya Samaj with collaboration with the state government. It comes under GFTI. I got rejection from Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi. My JEE Mains rank was not as much as it was required to take admission into Delhi Technological University. I was not able to score better in my JEE Mains examination, so my JEE Mains rank was not sufficient to get a seat in this college.
