Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Civil Engineering because I want to go into the government sector and Civil ENGINEERINGis best to go for the government sector by doing engineering because it has a large number of vacancies. Here faculty is good and at minimum, they have done PhD in their field and when we take about the ratio there is almost one teacher per 50 to 60 students. There are two main exams in one semester(i.e. mid-semester and end-semester) and various tests taken by the professor at the class level to give internal marks and exams are moderate to difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities in not so fascinating when you talk about NITs but can be considered good in comparison to other non-IIT and non-NIT government colleges. Students get internships mainly during 3rd year.
Placement Experience
After 6th sem, one can sit for placement. A large number of companies visit the college top recruiters are Adobe, Amazon, Byju's, CRED, OLX etc. The maximum package in the college is 52lpa in CS. The average package of the college is 12lpa. After my degree, I want to get a job and prepare for a government job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees vary from category to category for General and OBC it is 132500 per year and for SC, ST, PWD and student with annual income less than 100000 fees is approx 9000 per year and an additional hostel and mess fee which is fixed for everyone is 48000 per year. There is no fee hike in the college. There are various organizations which give Scholarships to various students depending upon their finnacial condition.
Campus Life
The annual fest and tech fest of NITP is Corona and Melange which is conducted in January month and despite of this, there are various fest which are being organized in the college. Despite being small campus college life is good. Books are available in different form such as soft and hard copy it contains around 100000 books. Sport faculty are good in the college. There are various clubs in the college such as robotics club, drama club, singing club etc.
Admission
For getting admission to any National Institute of Technology (NIT) we have to give an entrance that is JEE-Mains and the same is with NIT-Patna we can get admission by giving JEE to get admission. To give JEE we need to have PCM as a subject in class 12 and a minimum of 75 percent. Yes, reservation is also available for various categories such as Women, SC, ST, General -EWS, and OBC. No improvement is required.
