The life at NIT Patna

-I wanted to pursue B.tech in Computer Science specifically, my institute was the best in which I could have gotten Computer Science so I took admission to it. The faculty ratio is 1:15. Most of the faculties are PhD holders from IIT but the teaching method of some teachers are not up to the mark, also some faculties have absolutely great teaching methods. There is one mid-semester and one end-semester exam because in some institutes there are two mid-semester exams. and passing the exams was easy as I compared with my friends in different IITs and NIts.

-Amazon, SAP Labs, and Navriti come for hiring. They offer development, management and other roles. You get internship opportunity in the fifth and the seventh semester which is in the third and fourth year you can get it on campus as well as off-campus.

- From the Seventh semester you would be eligible. Microsoft, JIO, goldman sacs, BMW, Mercedes. 108% placements. -52 LPA for the highest and 14 LPA for the average package Become a software engineer at a big tech company like FANG is my dream.

-There is no major change in the fee structure in the past five years. and the cost to study is good at 67600 but the first semester you have to pay around 90000. The hostel + mess fee is 24000 each semester. There is NSP and ONGC about which we were informed and also there is a 100% recession of fees for students having annual income less than one lakh. and 2/3 recession for students having annual income between 1 to 5 lakh.

-Corona is our technical fest and Melange is our cultural fest, recently both of these were held together in the month of February but in general, they happen in January. There are sufficient books present in the library which you are going to need in your semester exams and also there are different books present which you can read, there are two processes to issue books from the library first is semester wise that is, you can submit the books in 3-4 months and also we can issue book weekly means you have to submit the book in 7-10 days. There are different classrooms in some classrooms there is an Ac facility and smart boards with good desks but in some classes, there are no proper benches where most first-years take classes. Only one ground is there where all the sports take place and yearly there is Intramular sports week. The best clubs of the college are Hackslash(for coding), Desco (for designing), Robotics,Tesla

-In the rooms in depends on your hostel and the no. of members in your room some gets solo room some get three people room, In sone hostel three people room we got three chairs, three bed, three almirahs and also three lan ports. also in two people room there is only one almirah for both the members. -The quality is just fine, we got special items like ice cream and rasgulla weekly. -To register you have to give application form in the HMC which is situated in the SAC building. - I have not that much idea about PG or room.

The eligibility is that you should have minimum 75% in board exam so that you can get admission in a NIT. Other than that you have to give JEE mains and secure minimum 15K rank to get computer science in NIT Patna(If you are a general candidate). My JEE mains AIR rank was 12442 but in my branch there are students with 17k AIR rank. You can fill JEE mains form NTA website ,and the charges would be around 1k rupees if you are from a general category.Forms to be filled around december and march. There are several benefits, there is a student in our batch from ECE branch who has 335000+ and he got admission because of his PWD reservation.
